Turn a client’s consequential decision into a reviewable record, not another spreadsheet.
A client asks whether they can afford the hire, the van, the second site. LEXUN turns that question into classified evidence, 5,000 scenarios, a probability range with the downside visible, and a record with a date on which reality grades it. The advice stays yours; the working becomes something a client, a partner or a lender can check.
The client questions it answers today
Salary, on-costs and ramp against cash, revenue and volatility: the probability cash stays positive, and the cost level that breaks it.
business runway modelThe downside first: how many months the cash lasts in the worst tenth of paths, and which assumption decides it.
business runway modelCash after the purchase, running costs added, the same twelve-month test — and a comparison against leasing or waiting on the same seed.
business runway model · compared alternativesFit-out cash out, a revenue ramp declared as an assumption with an owner and a review date, and the breakpoint the ramp must clear.
business runway modelThe breakpoint is named on every result: the single change in each driver that moves the answer, in both directions.
sensitivity and breakpointsEvery input is a fact or an assumption. The Evidence Passport records where each figure came from, and when it was last checked.
Evidence PassportThree models are released — business runway, career change and major purchase — and anything outside them is refused rather than approximated. The templates page lists what each one answers and what it does not.
One client decision, worked
Can this client afford another employee and keep positive cash for the next 12 months?
A client with a small monthly surplus wants to take on a £3,800-a-month hire. Costs rise from £39,000 to £42,800 a month against £42,000 of revenue growing 1% a month, with £95,000 in the bank. The figures are illustrative; the arithmetic is the shipped engine’s, at a fixed seed, so you can re-run it.
Probability the business keeps positive cash to month 12
75–85%
probably safe, watch it — a range, never a point, because the inputs are uncertain and the model says so.
- Downside
- Under the stress case (Revenue −25%, growth −2pt, volatility +5pt) survival falls to 24%. That is the number to plan around, not the headline.
- Breakpoint
- The median path reaches the horizon at or above -2.3%/month revenue growth; you stated 1%.
- Biggest lever
- Monthly costs moves the answer most; a stressed month there swings survival by about 50 points.
- Cash runway
- In the worst tenth of paths the cash lasts 10 months; in the best tenth, 12+.
- The test reality applies
- On the review date, was the business cash balance greater than £0 (no insolvency event, no emergency rescue funding required)?
The figures · cash £95,000 · revenue £42,000 a month · costs £42,800 a month · growth 1% a month · volatility 12% · horizon 12 months. Each is labelled a fact or an assumption before the engine runs.

What you leave with
- More structured advice — one question, a checkable outcome, a horizon and a risk appetite recorded before any number is produced.
- Explicit assumptions — the growth rate, the ramp and the volatility are labelled assumptions with owners and review dates, never quietly treated as facts.
- A defensible recommendation — a probability range with the downside and the breakpoint beside it, and the strongest case against written down.
- Documented downside — the stress scenario is on the record, not in a footnote, so nobody is surprised by the case you planned around.
- A reusable client record — the PDF Decision Record and the sealed package are generated on the device; the next conversation starts from the last one.
- A reviewable forecast — a resolution date, a calendar reminder and, when the outcome lands, a score against the frozen criterion.
How it fits the way a practice works
One question with a checkable outcome and a date it resolves on.
LIVEEvery figure a fact or an assumption, with its source, date and owner.
LIVE5,000 seeded paths: the band, the downside, the breakpoint, the lever.
LIVEThe case against, the assumptions it leans on, and what would change the answer.
LIVERecommendation, approval and success criterion frozen and sealed under one hash.
LIVE PILOTReminders for the review date; the outcome scored against the frozen criterion.
LIVELive means on one person’s device today, free. Reviews and approvals across a team are facilitated by LEXUN during the founding pilot; the self-serve shared workspace is planned for Release 2 and labelled so on every page that mentions it.
Why a client can trust the number
Same figures, same seed, same answer, on any machine. Every result carries its receipt; anyone can check it.
The engine runs in the browser. Client figures are not uploaded; the optional Copilot is the one exception and says so before you use it.
862 automated checks prove the software behaves as written. No accuracy percentage is published until ten outcomes have resolved in a domain.
LEXUN’s own forecasts are frozen and graded on the public register, misses included.
The detail, and the limits, are in the Trust Centre and the Accuracy Centre.
How it is priced
All of it on one page, with every line labelled: pricing.
Questions accountants ask
Is this financial advice, or a compliance tool?
Neither. LEXUN is decision intelligence: it structures, models, challenges and records. The advice, and any regulated obligation around it, remains with the practice. LEXUN makes no claim about regulatory compliance; it makes the working behind a recommendation documented, reproducible and honest about its uncertainty.
Where do my client’s figures go?
Nowhere. The engine runs in the browser and saved decisions are encrypted on the device under a LEXUN Key. The optional Copilot is the one feature that sends decision text to an AI provider, and it is not connected on this deployment; what it receives is one sentence in the privacy notice, the same on every page. The security page and the privacy notice describe the real traffic.
Can I use it with several clients?
Yes, on one device today: each decision is its own record, exportable as a PDF and a sealed package. Shared client workspaces with roles and approvals are planned for Release 2 and labelled planned wherever they appear; until then the founding pilot runs one client decision with you, end to end.
What does it cost to try?
Nothing. The engine is free without an account; the demonstration workspace shows a fictional company through the whole loop, and the sample board report shows what a record looks like when it is finished.
